When many of the biggest brands in the world made headlines for throwing huge wads of cash at the biggest follower counts and treating individuals like new outlets, we saw a huge value proposition in treating celebrities like humans and offering them something….

Rather than focusing on vanity metrics (ie- follower counts), we look to find talent who are actually interested in experiences with your product or the experiences your product goes well with.

Only then, instead of paying them, we host them in those experiences where they can use your product authentically and truly interact with your brand the way your true fans do. By focusing on providing them with memorable experiences, the end result is superior content that captures the heart and essence of your brand.

HI, I’M SEAN.

LOOKING BACK, IT FEELS LIKE MY ENTIRE LIFE WAS PREPARING ME FOR THIS CAREER.

My undergrad degree in psychology helped me understand people on a micro and macro level.
My post graduate work in leadership and administration helped me understand human motivation and building out complex systems
(the boring, nuts and bolts stuff).

My time teaching middle school taught me more about human motivation and how to find ways to relate things to people to help them understand.
My time as a magazine editor, reviewing new motorcycles or writing major features, opened that up to a much wider audience and taught me about the strength in being of value to the audience.

AND FINALLY, MY TIME AT A MARKETING AGENCY TAUGHT ME HOW TO THINK FROM A BRAND’S PERSPECTIVE AND HOW TO CONNECT THE DOTS BETWEEN COOL IDEAS AND BRAND’S NEEDS. ALONG THE WAY, I LEARNED A HOST OF OTHER SKILLS, CONCEPTS, AND PERSPECTIVES THAT ALL SEEM SECOND NATURE NOW, BUT THAT I’VE COME TO UNDERSTAND ARE PRETTY HARD TO COME BY WITHOUT HAVING THE EXPERIENCES I’VE HAD THUS FAR.

Most importantly, through it all, I found strength and value in looking to do things a little differently than I saw happening around me - doing things my way. In teaching, that meant creating my own curriculum in addition to the scripted materials we were using to help put things in a language that my students would resonate with.

In writing, that meant infusing pop culture and
my own personality into my writing instead of the “the article should be so void of personality that the byline shouldn’t matter” ethos of the time (when I left the magazine, which was the largest motorcycle magazine in the world, I had more people reading my articles than the other editors combined).

And in influencer marketing, it means treating influencers more like people than just new media outlets and capitalizing on finding a better fit over the biggest audience to create far more value than your dollar
has ever seen before.
